Question 13

How much does a Rootstock implementation cost?

Accepted Answer

Rootstock implementations typically range from $75,000 for small manufacturers to $250,000+ for enterprise and multi-site deployments. Key cost drivers include complexity, integrations, data migration, and customization needs.

Question 14

What's the difference between Salesforce and Rootstock?

Accepted Answer

Salesforce is a CRM platform for managing customer relationships, sales, marketing, and service. Rootstock is an ERP built on Salesforce specifically for manufacturers, handling inventory, production, supply chain, and order management. Many manufacturers use both together for a unified system.

Question 15

Why choose Rootstock over other ERP systems?

Accepted Answer

Rootstock is built natively on the Salesforce platform, giving you a single unified system for CRM and ERP. This eliminates data silos, reduces integration costs, and provides real-time visibility across your entire business. It's ideal for manufacturers already using or planning to use Salesforce.

Question 16

What manufacturing modes does Rootstock support?

Accepted Answer

Rootstock supports discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, make-to-stock, make-to-order, engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, and mixed-mode manufacturing. We'll help configure it for your specific production processes.

Question 17

Can Rootstock handle multiple warehouse locations?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Rootstock fully supports multi-site and multi-warehouse operations. You can manage inventory across locations, transfer stock between sites, and get consolidated reporting across your entire operation.

Question 18

What is Agentforce?

Accepted Answer

Agentforce is Salesforce's platform for deploying autonomous AI agents. These agents can handle tasks like lead qualification, customer service inquiries, and marketing automation 24/7 without human intervention.

Accepted Answer

Einstein AI is Salesforce's built-in artificial intelligence that provides predictive lead scoring, opportunity insights, automated activity capture, and AI-powered recommendations. It helps sales and service teams work smarter with data-driven insights.

Question 20

AI can automate data entry, predict which leads are most likely to convert, recommend next best actions, generate email drafts, summarize customer interactions, and even handle routine customer inquiries autonomously through Agentforce.

Question 21

Do you build voice and chat AI agents?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We implement Agentforce agents for phone calls and for web chat and messaging, connected to your Salesforce and Rootstock data. Most clients start with a 6–8 week pilot on one use case.

Question 22

Will customers know they're talking to an AI agent?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The agents we build say they're an AI assistant at the start, and customers can ask for a person at any time. The agent hands the conversation to your team with the transcript.

Question 23

Is our data used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. Under Salesforce's zero data retention policy, the AI model providers behind Agentforce don't keep your data or train on it, and Salesforce says it doesn't currently train its own models on customer data.
